Sarah Raddau makes dance music with a little more soul than what is usual. She'll get your feet moving with her cool grooves and stir your mind with her smart words. "I tried to reach you" sounds like Everything but The Girl after they discovered drum'n'bass. Rabdau's sensual voice works well with the subdued beats. "I was wrong" is a haunting song, which pits a sad lyric against an up-tempo tune.

"Runaway" is a danceable song with a dark-themed lyric. Radbdau has found a way to combine the two extremes without creating too strong a contrast. "Onlyone" is jazzy and cool. Rabdau's sweetly delivered vocal is just great.

Benevolent Apollo is a striking debut from a gifted artist.
