Jude Johnstone
Shatter
BoJak Records

Jude Johnstone has a history of releasing great albums and her new one is no exception.

The opening title song has a soulful feel and a fabulous lead vocal. "The Underground Man" is a jazzy song that edges into Tom Waits territory but with its own flavor. Johnstone's vocals are as cool as ever. "Touchdown Jesus" is a tale told with a great deal of humor and a melody that she inhabits completely with seeing ease. "Free Man" is an apt and carefully delivered closing track. She delivers the song with her usual flair and the backing's tight and reggae-flavored. It's another fine album by Jude Johnstone.
