Alu
Lobotomy Sessions
self-released

Alu follows her brilliant debut with a long-awaited new album. Like its predecessor its based in electronica, pop and other stranger flavors.

"Buzzin in My Brain" is lushly orchestrated and vaguely creepy. "Casket Salesman" falls into the category of Björk-influenced kook with surreal lyrics and a pretty melody. "The Metrosexuals" amusingly pays tribute to a modern phenomenon. Alu's vocals playfully dart around a neat orchestration. "Amy" is darker, more moving experience with Alu sounding bereft and the melody serving her well.

The Lobotomy Sessions is a bold and striking record that singles Alu out as a force to be reckoned with.
