Summoning of the muse - A tribute to Dead Can Dance
Projekt

Tribute albums are generally not a good idea, but this one is an exception to that rule. The influential Dead Can Dance get an appropriately somber and convincing tribute from Projekt records. Sweden's Aracana muster a gloomy chant for "The Arcane". Dark Sanctuary's solemn and hymnal reading of the title song is sweet.

Autumn's Grey Solace make a dreamy version of "Musica Eternal", that's very pleasing to the ear. Their recent album Riverine is a real treat in the dreampop genre.

France's Rajna make a rhythmic, suggestive version of "Canatara". Jeanne Lefebvre's vocal is out of this world. Mirabilis' lovley "The Writing On My Father's Hand" has some stunning harmonies. This tribute succeeds in giving a heartfelt celebration of a much-loved band.
