Sweet Bleeders
Murder, Go Home EP
Self-released

Sweet Bleeders' EP opens with the catchy, epic "Smoke In The Valley". Singer and multi-instrumentalist Robin Vining has a distinctive voice and the band has a fresh sound. "Waiting To Explode" reminds me of Radiohead, particularly in Vining's high-pitched singing. There's a country element in the song that's hardly like that band though.

"Safety Net" opens with the sound of a lonesome harmonica and brings the Nick Cave song "Mercy" to mind. Sweet Bleeders then take the song elsewhere. It has plenty of drama and is great.

The title track uses an odd rhythm like Tom Waits does in his music and has an intriguingly dark lyric. This is a great EP.
