Rachael Sage
Public Record
M Press Records

Rachael Sage is a bit like Ani DiFranco, an artist who releases records on her own label and follows her own artistic vision. Public Record is her fifth album and her experience shows in these well-crafted songs. The piano-led "Too Many women" shows off Sage's strong vocals and songwriting skills. "Bravedancing" is a beautiful song with insightful lyrics. "Beauty Fades" is a skilfully arranged pop nugget. "Of Blue" is an intimate song with Sage's voice at its most evocative. "Chasing the Girl" is a fun, light song that works well.

Public Record is a brilliant album.
