Lesley Pike has a lovely voice and her melodies are memorable. "Courageous" is a quirky song
with expert piano playing by Pike. Her yearning vocal matches the melody well. The haunting "Sweet
Love" has shades of Tori Amos but is a little lighter in tone. The sweet "Fairytale Land" opens
with delicate piano strains. Pike paints pictures of a love that seems hard to fulfil. The song
quickly becomes anthemic.
Holding On" is uptempo, and Pike sings of unhappy love with conviction. "Sad Lullabye" lives
up to its title and is both sad and evocative. Night Visions is a marvellous debut.
