Strokes
The Modern Age EP
Rough Trade

Rock'n'roll is dead. How many times haven't we heard that. But rock lives, and will always live. Underground bands keeping the tradition alive and now it will rise to the surface and show all of us.

Strokes, a New York band, takes all Velvet Underground albums transforming them into three amazing songs. These 3 songs are probably the best songs I have heard in a few years. A Lou Reedish voice with a jingly rock-sound. Rough Trade has discoverd a lot of great bands and the strokes is just one of these. Hopefully we will see a album after this year but first a tour in Europe. Go get them!
