Trent Miller
Burnt Offerings
Bucketfull of Brains

Trent Miller has experience in the Americana field and it shows on this new album, his first for the magazine turned record label.

The opening title track is a rueful song with a gorgeous tune, and a strong lyric. "Hearts on the Wire" has a nice harmonica part, and a mood that's very pleasant. Miller's vocal is absolute perfection, and it's a great track. "Your Black Heart" is a sad, yet still catchy song about a complex relationship. Miller handles it well here.

"On the Stone Beach" closes, the proceedings, an elegiac yet hopeful final track in a very Americana style. Miller does a fine job with it. It's a great album all told.
