Tolouse Low Trax is a solo project by Düsseldorf avant-group Kreidler's Detlef Weinrich. This self-titled EP is a quartet of songs clocking in at some 25 minutes.

The original Toulouse-Lautrec was a French painter, printmaker, draughtsman and illustrator who lead a decadent, bohemian and indeed alcohol-drenched lifestyle in Paris' Montmartre area during the 1890s. Weinrich's modern time Tolouse Low Trax is not of the Post-Impressionist kind. Tolouse Low Trax holds two remixes; "Sussing - Miles Remodel" (by Miles Whittaker, from the experimental-industrial techno/dark ambient UK duo Demdike Stare) and "Jeidem Fall - Wolf Müller Mix" (Müller usually records for the label Themes For Great Cities). Those two tracks were originally lifted off Tolouse Low Trax' album Jeidem Fall (2012) for this remix face-lift. The other two tracks, "Vineland" and "Eisenbahnzunge" are Tolouse Low Trax originals. I find the last track, "Eisenbahnzunge" to be the best. It's a very cool and stellar track, being a chilling, steady ride. Ice kool.Or, rather, über-kool.

It's a nice EP for a some hot days in June. A perfect chill out time-out.
