Mona and Maria
My Sun
Jansen Plateproduksjon

Norwegian singers Mona Andersen and Maria Knudsen have a retro, yet fresh sound on this album. They owe a lot to sixties sounds, but their vocals are too sublime for that to really matter. "My sun" rivals First Aid Kit for harmonic bliss and stunning tunes. "Silent Summer" is a poppy hymn to warm weather that recalls the Byrds. "Let the light" is gorgeously evocative, those heavenly voices weaving round a simple yet effective melody.

"Shivers in the blue" is a lovely song, ending the album on a high point. The vocals twine around the soft melody in a good way. It's a wonderful album.
