Electrik Emily
Stiletto Rock
Electrik Emily/Self-released

Electrik Emily has a riot grrl past, and a style that's pure rock on this record.

Opener "Cock Rockers" is a blistering, provocative attack on male privilege and it has a great guitar line and a strong vocal. Joan Jett would be proud. "Going Out!" is a bright ode to having fun, and Emily sounds like she's in a good mood. "Addiction" shows off a softer side, and in a very appealing way. Emily's vocals are more than up for the task.

The closing title track is a great way to end this promising album, Emily being in an upbeat mode, as synths and guitars wail in tune. It's a charming and appeling song. It's a fun and rockin' album.
