Rob Skane
Phantom Power Trip
Lo Fi Records

Rob Skane's new album is a power poppy exercise with plenty of hooks. "Untouchable" is a strong pop song that he handles well. The chorus is very catchy. "You Preach Peace" points a finger at those who would try to make things look better without really meaning it. The tune is suitably intense and Skane's delivery is spot on. "Girl Next Door" is a cute paean to a sweet girl, and the tune's appealingly lovely. It's one of those songs that sound perfect on first listen.

"In My Room" is a self-regarding song with a great deal of wisdom inherent. Skane's album is worth a listen and then some.
