Mary Jenson
Beyond
self released

Jazz singer Mary Jenson has gathered some intriguing songs for this new record and she sings with real class.

The opening stab at Tom Waits, "Temptation" has a fresh style arrangement that really brings out the best in her voice. The title song is one of Jenson's own song and it's a dreamy adventure that features some strong vocals. "Flying, Falling", also an original song, is a sweetly arranged ballad with dreamy vocals and a nice piano part by Frank Martin.

"Moon at the Window" by Joni Mitchell gets a relaxed and confident reading that sees Jenson at her best. It's a truly strong album.
