Jake Morley
Many Fish To Fry
Sandwich Emporium Records

Jake Morley has a voice that lets him stand out amidst a sea of singer/songwriters. His album reflects that and sees him establish himself as an important new talent.

"Feet Don't Fail Me Now" is a joyous celebration of life lived to the fullest. The massive backing vocals part rises like angels voices to the fray. "Reeling" sees him setting a low-key scene to a relaxed beat and a warm lead vocal. Here he recalls Paolo Nuttini a bit, but with his own voice clearly defined. "Pondering on a Scenario in Which I am the Hero" is a cute yet still poignant dream of heroism. It's laidback and sunny though not without an edge.

The title song is a nice hopeful song that still admits to life's many troubles. It's also catchy and sweet. It's a great record in all.
