Patrick Cornell
Wrecking Ball
Self-released

Patrick Cornell plays up-tempo, radio-friendly yet strong music on this album. "Living for Yesterday" is a bright, sunny track that he handles with good humor and swagger. "I Won't Crawl Back" is a song about love gone badly, and Cornell deals well with it. It's a bit like John Mayer but with more bite.

The title song is a soulful yet pensive track that sounds familiar in a good way. "Tom Petty and a Cigarette" hints at another of Cornell's influences and with a wry wink at that. He's not there yet, but he might be on his way as this promising record proves.
