Annie Fitzgerald
In Good Time
AF / self-released

Annie Fitzgerald has a warm voice and a way with intricate Americana songs on this album. On opener "Hero" she recalls a younger Sarah McLachlan vocally, set to a dreamy tune. "Little Girl" is a warm, folksy song that shows off her vocals to their best advantage. Her tale of a small girl is moving, and acutely drawn.

"How Long" is a song in the Patty Griffin vein, it's very strong and has an individual flavor as well. "Kaleidoscope" is a slow, sensitive song with a lyric set to move the listener. Fitzgerald's vocal is as ever strong and the musicians provide a solid backing. It's a brilliant album.
