Zydecosis
Zydeco All Night
Vinyl Records

Zydecosis cover classic rock songs in a zydeco style and it really works. Steve Junot has a good voice and a way with these songs that's irreverent and fun.

"Whole Lotta Love" sounds just as fun as the original, though of course in a different way. "Walk This Way" is a real hoot done in a New Orleans party way. It's till got attitude, but it swings like it's ever done before. Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls" is done delightfully just as can be expected. "Baba O'Riley", by the Who gets done a little slower and it works just fine. The zydeco style doesn't lend itself to all rock songs though, as Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" sounds uneasy and odd like this. But mostly this album is just terrific.
