Maggie Kim
Love Like Everyone
Kokiri Records

Maggie Kim records catchy, bright pop songs on this new album. "Uh Oh (na na)" is strident and barbed like Lily Allen. "Uh oh I slept with your friend", she intones brightly to a cure tune. "Greatest Mistake" is a bit slower, and sees Kim singing rather sweetly but the words are pretty sharp again. The tune is subtle and the backing well done.

"Lullaby" is rather neat, Kim singing to a jazzy backdrop. She has a strong vocal presence here. The closing title track ends the short album on a good note, it's an effective pop song with a nice relaxed feel to it. She's not reinvented the wheel here, but it's a good solid record.
