Telling on Trixie
Ugly, Broke & Sober
Self-released

Telling on Trixie had a little help from their fans in funding their second album. I think the fans might be pleased with this energetic pop/rock record.

Opener "Shaking in 60" goes widescreen with frantic guitar squalls and a good vocal by Derek Nicoletto. An anthemic sprint through the Belinda Carlisle hit "Mad About You" works well. Nicoleotto's vocals sound good here. "Eden (Take a Bite)" is a neat song with a catchy chorus. Nicoletto really is an excellent songwriter.

"Late So Tired" is an intimate moment with a neat lyric. Nicoletto makes a convincing narrator. I'm sure this album won't leave the band broke and it's good to hear as well.
