Roberta Duchak
Intersections
self-released

Roberta Duchak is a singer and actress and here she jazzily interprets some Broadway favorites with gusto and verve. "Takin a Chance on Love" gets a sassy and knowing reading as Duchak sings her heart out to a nice backing. "Whoever You Are, I Love You" is quieter and more personal it seems. She really sings beautifully on this number.

"Raise the Roof" by contrast gets a toe tapping and up-tempo rendition in a latin style. Duchak pulls it off admirably as well. She handles her upper register well, showing what a versatile singer she is. "What You Don't Know About Women" is a bluesy and straight-talking number that she gets to the heart of. Roberta Duchak is an interesting and talented singer and her album's a treat.
