Anna Döbling is an experienced singer but this is her solo debut. She records in a genre known as "visa" in Sweden and that implies quiet, reflective and often melancholy songs.

Döbling sings intimate, passionate songs like "Gå vidare" (move on) in which a woman contemplates moving forward with her life. "Som ett barn" (Like a Child) manages to avoid cliché in its search of good metaphors for love. Döbling's voice is sweet and wonderfully expressive. "Eva och jag" (Eva and I) is a delightful cabaret-tinged tale of childhood friends.

Other songs reflect loss and life with precision and tenderness. A fine and accomplished debut in all.
