Todd Snider is a leading light in Americana and this album of rarities, demos and stuff is very likeable.

"Feel like falling in love" is a rough demo but still gets a lovely melody and a plaintive vocal. "Barbie Doll" gives us the singer's abrasive style as he laments a fickle girl. Its bluesy and sparse but cutting. "Combover Blues" manages a mix of humor and pathos. "East Nashville Skyline" was left off the album of that name and one might wonder why. This collection works just fine as an album in its own right.
