The Little Ones
Lovers Who Uncover (7")
Heavenly/EMI

Yeah! A real pop gem from these California posters. The Little Ones is a quintet from LA, CA, USA, or, as they state on their myspace site: El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de LA!

The Little Ones play catchy as hell indie pop. Sunny, bright and naive to the bone. "Lovers Who Uncover" is totally breath-takingly charming, and recalls the band Spinto Band which I saw perform live in Camden, London last spring. B-side "Cha Cha Cha" is a slightly (only slightly) more laid-back tune, making this seven incher 14 inches of great pop. Better watch out, and wait for the summer. The Little Ones create music for bathing and joy under the sun.
