Gabriela Kulka
Out
Self-released

Gabriela Kulka's new album sees the Polish-born artist making a fabulous work of art. Her style is reminiscent of Kate Bush at times startlingly so. But she adds her own flavor to it. Some of the songs are sung in her native tongue and that adds a new twist to the formula.

"New to somebody" sees her use her piano beautifully and her voice is expressive and soft. The songs intricate twists and turns further make it great. "An orange" is quirky yet restrained. "Spitting Image" uses a thudding beat offset its strange melody. "This City" is spooked and haunting.

Out is a fantastic record.
