Olga
Pale Light
Self released

Olga Salamanca has a light, lovely voice and she uses it well on this debut. Her folky pop is very refreshing in its approach. "Save Me" is catchy and positive, and brings Tanya Donnelly to mind. "Bathing Light" is a soft song of loss that's barely a breath away from breaking in two as you hear it. Its delicacy is gorgeous.

"Silently" is gently psychedelic and allows Salamanca to develop her darker side. The track unfolds to a fevered state that's well captured. "Lazy Days" is sweet and poppy. The title is apt as it takes its time.

Salamanca is a very gifted songwriter and singer and this debut is great.
