Oosterdok
Twilights of the Weary Soul
Brown House Records

After a memorable debut EP the strangely named Oosterdok return. Becky Naylor sings beautifully on opener "Elysium", an elegiac, gorgeous song. "I Am Not a Nice Girl" sees her assert herself as a vixen-ish presence against bubbly synths. Jay Line's songwriting has grown more confident this time, as evidenced by this song. "Be Careful" rivals Ladytron's latest album with a sophisticated arrangement and a cool vocal.

"Falling sand" ends the EP on a celestial high. It's one of the loveliest things I've heard in a long while. Another great EP, and I hope they'll make an album next.
