Bull Lee
Bull Lee
self-released

Bull Lee play energetic and persuasive rock with plenty of attitude. Singer Rachel Slurr is an intriguing mix of Debbie Harry sass and Brody Dalle (Distillers) toughness. Bull Lee's debut is short, sharp and sweet. "You Gotta Go" is Ramones on smart pills, with guitarist John Dissed supplying killer riffs. "Starfuck City" disses L.A at high speed.

"Junk Sick" allows Slurr to use her powerful voice beautifully. So the album ends just as it began, no ballads, no filler just rock at the maximum level. The songs have a tendency to bleed into each other with little distinction between them , but it's churlish to complain. Bull Lee came to rock the house and the house was rocked.
