Quiet Quiet Window Lights
a rural song event

again. In January, of course. Two nights not 4 weekends this year but still. This was going to be great. Had to be. I stayed at a cabin on a
cliff facing Bolinas Point just last week. Above the tidal pools full of the starfish and anemones and all their jewelryness. So I felt familiar in a far
from local but know my way around kinda way. And even though the locals have been known to steal the signs to their humble little hamlet on the ocean to
keep the wanderers out - they seem to welcome this new San Francisco psyche - folk community with open arms. In fact, within 15 minutes of arriving and
walking down the wooden sidewalk someone told us they loved us.

And we loved them.
I was afraid for a bit that it wouldn't happen. It seemed all so idyllic and elusive for some reason, and then when we were finally driving up there,
and the detour up the panoramic highway was winding and around and descending into the ocean to bear witness to this quiet night of quiet stars? Well, I
was simply overcome with the entirety of it all.
And then back up the mountain and home again, breaking bread with friends all along the way.
